Celebrate with the entire family at Trick or Treat Under the Sea, Batty Battleship's Halloween Bash and the Poplar Grove Halloween Festival. Race against zombies to the finish line in the 5K Zombie Fun Run and prepare for the scare of a lifetime at the most intense haunted house in the Cape Fear Region. Panic Attack Haunted Attraction
October 4-5, 11-12, 18-19, 24-26, 31, 2014

Haunted Pub Crawl

Prepare yeself for a party alike no other! Hoist a pint or three inside the bowels of old Wilmington’s most actively haunted pubs. Hear eerie tales that will both shiver ye timbers & make ye laugh so hard ye’ll swab the decks. From the disreputable obsession of the merry wench Gallus Meg to the barbarous haunts of a notorious madman, ye’ll be beggin’ to be keelhauled before it’s all over. Enjoy a mixture of new and known works that celebrate the spooky and macabre, with a series of programming built to scare and delight audiences of all ages. Wilmington Horror Story at TheatreNOW
October 3, 2014 - November 1, 2014
TheatreNOW's Wilmington Horror Story features three tales of terror by three very talented local scribes served with a devilishly delicious three-course horror themed meal. “Dine and Dash,” by Anghus Houvouras tells the story of a blind date that turns deadly. Tale number 2 is “Dr. Herbert West: Re-Animator” adapted by Chase Harrison from H.P.Lovecraft classic reanimation tale. And finally, “A Letter To Dave from the Zombie Apocalypse of Hurricane Irene” by Calie Voorhis. Shows will be Friday and Saturday nights. Tickets are $34 per adult and $20 for the show only. Legacy Farms Haunted House

Legacy Farms is back for a fourth year of terrifying thrills, featuring an updated professional haunted house, dark night time corn maze, and new woods trail near Wilmington NC. Poplar Grove Halloween Festival
October 17-19 and 24-26, 2014
Dare to walk through the Haunted Manor, ride the Haunted Wagon through the deep dark forest, or for the little ones enjoy the Goblins and Games Fun House in the barn. Bring the entire family for food, fun, live music, inflatables, fortune-teller readings, petting zoo, and other favorites.  This year we are featuring Massive Grass and the Possum Creek Bluegrass Band. This is Poplar Grove’s largest fund-raiser of the year. For younger children or families with toddlers, there is a daytime Wagon Ride through the Nature Trail on Saturdays and Sundays starting at Noon and ending at 5:30PM. 5K Zombie Fun Run / Walk
October 18, 2014 at 6PM
Think you can survive a Zombie Apocalypse?  On Saturday, October 18th, test your skills at Poplar Grove Plantation’s 5K Zombie Fun Run/Walk through the Abbey Nature Preserve trails. The run will begin at 6PM in the parking lot near the Poplar Grove Cultural Arts Barn.  The course covers the scenic views around the Mill Pond and Pine Thicket trails, and will be crawling with Zombies clambering to take your 3 health flags.  Runners who make it to the finish line with at least 1 flag are awarded tickets to our Halloween Festival.  Awards for the top 3 finishers in each category and Overall Male and Female. Participants who do not want to be chased will not be issued health flags. Click here for additional information.

Trick or Treat Under The Sea

Bring the kids to the aquarium for early Halloween trick-or-treating! Candy stations, special programs and decorations provide a fun and safe Halloween building for this event. This popular event is held on four dates from 5-8:30PM each night. Children must be accompanied by a paying adult. Call 800-832-FISH for more information.

Halloween Ghost Trolley
October 24-25 and 29-31, 2014
Listen to ghost stories tailored for young children, and experience the "Haunted Barn"!  Let your little ones enjoy Halloween the way it used to be. Halloween Ghost Trolley tours will be available October 24-25 and 29-31, 2014 from 6PM - 9PM. Tours begin at the corner of Market & Water Streets in downtown Wilmington. Tickets are $12 per adult, $5 per child under 12. Enjoy free treats for children. No reservations required.

Batty Battleship's Halloween Bash
October 28, 2014 from 5:30PM - 8PM
Trick or Treat aboard the Battleship NORTH CAROLINA! Batty Battleship, brother Buggy and their friends return to the Battleship for a spooktacular trick or treating time. A lot of fun and no scares it is the best location for the family to share. But don’t be frightened and don’t you fret we promise we’ll provide a zoo with animals to pet. With candy and sweets there’s plenty of treats you’ll be asking yourself what more should I eat. Batty also announces she will have two very special guests this year, Anna and Elsa from “Frozen”. Carnival festivities with henna tattoos, face painting and bounce house included trick-or-treaters of all ages will be begging not to leave. Admission is $5 per person. Kids 2 and under free. The Rocky Horror Show at Thalian Hall
October 30 - 31, 2014
The Rocky Horror Show is a musical with music, lyrics and a book by Richard O'Brien. A humorous tribute to the science fiction and horror B movies of the late 1940s through early 1970s, the musical tells the story of a newly engaged couple getting caught in a storm and coming to the home of a mad transvestite scientist unveiling his new creation, a muscle man named Rocky Horror. Halloween Movie Night at Bellamy Mansion
October 31, 2014
